The series’ 2009 episode “Moon Over Isla Island” (second
episode, fifth season) was a fairly direct parody of the film
Moon Over Parador; the name
[of the fictional country] is an obvious redundancy, Island Island.
The flag of Isla is shown in the course of the episode and in
this
promotional still, though the two do not match; the episode flag has
several stripes and a yellow portion, while the one in the still appears to
simply be blue with a thin red border and red diamonds.

Seems to have been influenced by the flag of Guam,
or of Belize.
