Presentation of Pag

Pag is a Town located in the southern half of the island of the same name, close to the cast parallel to the Velebit mountain range, about 30 km north of Zadar. The teritorial unit was part of the Lika-Senj County until 1997 as a Municipality; in 1997 it was granted the Town status and moved to Zadar County.

Flag of Pag

The symbols of Pag are described in Articles 8 (coat of arms) and 9 (flag) of the Town Statutes Statut Grada Paga, adopted on 27 September 2001 by the Town Assembly and published in the County official gazette Službeni glasnik Zadarske županije.
This is repeated in the current Town Statutes Statut Grada Paga (text), adopted on 28 July 2009 by the Town Assembly and published in Službeni glasnik Zadarske županije.

The symbols were designed by the Heraldic Art d.o.o. company, from Rijeka.

The flag is in proportions 1:2, red with the coat of arms, bordered yellow, in the middle.

The coat of arms of Pag used in the 1990s was slightly different in artistic rendition, but otherwise heraldically it was the same coat of arms.
